ACTIVATION - E.J.Freedberg


Edmund J. Freedberg is a psychologist having received his doctorate in the field of clinical psychology. Early in his career, his interests moved to the issue of performance and he began working in the world of sports with the Buffalo Sabres and the Hartford Whalers of the NHL, the Canadian Men's National Basketball Team and individual high performance athletes. He soon became involved in industry, working across its spectrum banks, insurance companies, brokerage firms, pharmaceutical, chemical, computer and manufacturing organizations. More recently, he continued his association with professional hockey, working with the Philadelphia Flyers and the Florida Panthers.

In both athletics and the larger occupational world, Ed concentrates on the importance of Activation - people's capacity to convert the potential they have into the performance that they want.

Ed is President of E.J. Freedberg Consultants, Inc. and has created the process entitled "Activation: A Self Management System" utilized by many large corporations in both Canada and the U.S. He has written a book entitled "Activation: The Core Competency" published by HarperCollins Business. Ed also speaks publicly on the importance of dealing with the conversion of potential not as a poetic issue but as a perhaps the most critical skill set in determining people's performance.
